It’s the difference between acquaintances and friends. It’s something you can never have enough of, and something you can never run out of. It’s like glitter – pretty to look at, impossible to get rid of and scattered all over every rave.

It’s often said that you can find love in the most unexpected places, but what people don’t always realize is that sometimes love finds you first. And then it chases you, for month after month, and slowly wears you down with endearing cuteness until you can’t help but love it back. Also, it’s named Emily.

And I am going to marry the crap out of her. :D

If there’s one thing love is for, it’s sharing. That’s why Emily and I and all of the Nocturnal Commissions crew would like to invite each of you – the friends we’ve come to know and to love as deeply as we love each other (though with perhaps less kissing) as well as the friends we’ve yet to meet – to come celebrate love, life, music, friendship, and a particularly ravetastic marriage. Because I know that, just like me and Emily, the Toronto rave community will be…

Together Forever!

In 2005, Nocturnal Commissions came together for the first time to throw an event called “Tag! You’re It!” featuring tag sets all night and lots of opportunity to draw on each other, and on various things. Despite the obvious potential for disaster that comes from putting writing instruments into the hands of a hundred ravers, the event came together and showed all the signs of the ridiculous adventure that NC events would become.

Now, entering our sixth year of bringing Happy Hardcore to Toronto’s ravers, NC is ready to carry on this marker-ific tradition with a tight-knit birthday event for us and for you! On February 26th, join us for…

We’ll have crayons, we’ll have paper, we’ll have music, we’ll have beer – all you need is your creativity!

No rave would be complete without slammin’ rave music, and as always at NC, we’re bringing you some of the best, including:

Entity [UK]Hardcore Underground, CLSM, Nu Energy
Jimni Cricket [USA]NuBreed, Marbel, Housewrecking
Kix [USA]Nocturnal Commissions, Just 4 U
DJ TempestRound Table Records,
DAVEoftheRAVENocturnal Commissions,
FlyboyNocturnal Commissions, Embedded, Daydream Productions
Dynamic [USA]Nocturnal Commissions, Embedded, Roc’N’Roll Promotions
Dark StarSubCulture Ent.

In true NC tradition, the event will be ridiculous, chaotic, and of course – hardcore! As always, you can expect:

- Artwork for YOU to colour on!
- Fresh fruit and candy giveaways throughout the night to keep your energy up!
- Free CD giveaways from the NC crew!
- TRIP, Happy Rave, and Raygun Designs concession booths for all your raving needs!
- World class decor from our own Dream Builders!
- A special Colouring Contest with prizes – colour our flyers (available, with crayons, from Shanti Baba or the NC crew, or downloadable from and bring them to our contest station for submission!
- And most of all, that one-of-a-kind, super-colourific, brighter-than-ever, please-don’t-write-on-my-face Nocturnal Commissions vibe that YOU bring with you to each and every one of our events!

The venue is The Lounge, located at 1669 Bayview Ave (just a short bus ride from Yonge and Eglinton subway station, located near 24 hour bus routes).
